If all snowball fights always involved these sweet and salty peanut butter snowballs, we'd gladly participate in each and every one. These holiday treats coat peanut butter balls in sweet melted white chocolate, before being decorated with festive holiday sprinkles. Bite-sized and too adorable, this easy dessert is a perfect last-minute addition to your holiday spread, or as the sweetest homemade food gift for any PB + chocolate lovers in your life.
What should I decorate them with?
Anything you want! We went with holiday sprinkles to give our snowballs some festive flair, but the fun doesn't stop there. Top with crushed pretzels, drizzle on more melted white chocolate or leave them plain—however you want to decorate your snowballs is completely up to you! You can even switch up the chocolate if white chocolate isn't your thing, but personally we love the combo of white chocolate and peanut butter in this festive dessert.
Can I make these ahead?
Absolutely. Just like our Oreo truffles, these snowballs are an ideal dessert to make in advance. Simply prepare them as normal, then refrigerate (where they'll last for 3-4 days) until you're ready to serve.
Can I freeze them?
Yes! After your chocolate has set, transfer your snowballs to freezer-safe container, then place in the freezer where they'll last for around 2 months. When you're ready to snack, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
